How to get knocked out of a tournament quickly—when will things finally start going better?

$1.1 Bounty Hunter 1000x Event $1000 GTD 2026.10.28 16:30 (UTC +2) Today I played another Bounty Hunter, and it started really well but ended in a very frustrating way. Getting eliminated like this is painful, but that's poker, what can you do? 🤷

It started with me late-registering with around 20 BB. After sitting for a bit, I doubled up with AKo against ATo, and in the very next hand, I doubled up again with TT against 62s. Honestly, I was surprised when I saw my opponent's cards. Sometimes it feels like some people don't even know the rules of poker 😅

After that, I gradually built up my stack. Unfortunately, there is a limit on how many screenshots I can post here, so I'm only sharing the most important hands.

Once I was already in the money, I eliminated an opponent and got a bounty with AKo against KQo. My stack was looking pretty good, but the blinds were getting big.

A few levels later, I was dealt pocket 66 in the BB. A short stack with a nice bounty of around $4 was in the hand. And what can I say? That nasty river cost me both the knockout and a chance to increase my stack. It's really frustrating when random hands win despite having very few chances, but unfortunately, there's nothing you can do about it.

And in the very next hand, I got TT again, this time against KQo in the SB. Of course, I lost again and got eliminated.

Only 30rd place this time. I'm glad I at least made it that far, but honestly, it still feels bad. Anyway, I'll keep playing this tournament. One day, I'll finally win it! 💪♠️
