A very poor tournament, and 3 buy-ins lost.

$1.1 Bounty Hunter 1000x Event $1000 GTD 2026.10.25 16:30 (UTC+2) Day 3 of playing the $1.10 Bounty Hunter, and today was just awful.
I busted pretty quickly in my first entry. I got dealt JJ and went all-in preflop against QQ and 88. To make things even worse, the 88 ended up winning on the river. Not that it really matters to me anymore, though. 😅
In my second entry, I doubled up right away with KJo against 99. After that, I went a very long time without getting any playable hands, slowly bleeding chips until my stack became critically low. With just 8 BB left, I decided to shove with K8s. The flop looked pretty good, and I thought maybe I could hit something and spin my stack back up, but unfortunately, it wasn't meant to be this time.
I wasn't even planning to enter a third time since there were only 3 minutes left for late registration, but I decided to give it a shot anyway. Almost immediately, I got it all in with Q9s for two knockouts and a chance to nearly triple up. My equity wasn't great, of course, but it improved significantly on the turn when I made two pair. Then came that nasty river, bringing the last remaining king in the deck. Seriously, what are the odds of that exact card coming? Honestly, it was so frustrating. But I understand that in poker, even the smallest chance of winning can sometimes be enough.
Well, never mind. I'll give it another shot tomorrow. Maybe it'll be a better day! 🙂
